4/5 Day C&G 2079 F-Gas Regulations Course

DETAILS

This is a four/five day training and assessment course for up to 8 candidates. This course is aimed at intermediate level engineers who feel that they would benefit from an overall review of refrigeration systems and the 2079 course content with the addition of more practical experience prior to undertaking the assessment. These engineers will need some experience of brazing before coming on the course however this will be covered briefly. (The five day course includes the first day covering brazing.)

Days 1-3 Are taken up with training, theory and hands on practical experience

Day 4 Is taken up with up to 4hr practical assessments and the up to 1hr 20mins closed book online GOLA exam

NOTE: This course can be extended to five days by adding a 1 day Brazing Familiarisation element to the start of the course for those who require additional instruction.

The course is held at our Training Centre in Sheffield.

Candidates will be issued with a full set of City & Guilds 2079 study notes at the start of the course.

By undertaking the course, successful candidates will be able to demonstrate an understanding of the legal and environmental requirements of the regulations and will be able to demonstrate the application of practical skills to successfully fabricate and examine pipework, undertake pressure testing, evacuation and record completion, refrigerant charging, leak checking and record keeping, and recovery of refrigerants and oil and preparation for disposal.

Successful candidates will be qualified to undertake leak checking, recovery, installation, service and maintenance of equipment.
