Techtrain - Training Courses

Essential Electrics

Details

This is a two-day training and assessment course for 4-8 candidates.

Day One Basic electrical theory, isolation, test instruments, EAWA 1990, wiring, electrical supplies
Day Two Overview of testing, panel/board wiring, testing circuits and components

The course can be held at our Training Centre in Doncaster or, with prior agreement, on-site at your premises. Candidates will be issued with a full set of CITB study notes, supplementary notes and workbook at the start of the course.

Benefits

Techtrain Associates has specially adapted this course for those who need to undertake electrical work but have no recognisable qualifications to do so.

It helps companies and/or individuals to comply with the requirements of the Electricity at Work Act 1990. It covers the correct procedures for safe isolation of equipment, the use of test equipment and the testing of any work that is carried out.

Candidates have to demonstrate that they can undertake simple wiring tasks and that they are able to test that work in accordance with recommendations of the IEE regulations.
