Electrical Control Panel Fault Course

Details

This is a 3-day training course.
The course can be held for between 6 - 8 candidates.
Successful candidates receive a Techtrain Associates Ltd attendance certificate.

Day One Basic control theory, isolation, test instruments, electrical components and basic fault finding
Day Two Diagram reading and fault finding
Day Three Panel/board wiring, fault finding

The course can be held at our Training Centre in Doncaster or, with prior agreement, on-site at your premises.

Benefits

This course has been designed to serve the needs of people who have to work on industrial refrigeration electro-mechanical control systems. Those people attending the course should have some electrical experience, this experience might gained through attending the Essential Electrics course or from working with electricity in some other capacity such as a domestic electrician.

The purpose of the course, therefore, is to teach the fundamental skills needed. Specifically diagram reading, fault finding, the wiring of control circuits and some basic circuit design skills.

The course handouts cover the components found on a typical control panel and the electrical components found on a refrigeration system.

There is a high practical content on the course, approximately 75%, this is to give course candidates the opportunity to develop and reinforce their skills.

The following list details the topics covered by the handouts, which can be used after the course as suitable reference source by the candidates.
